In the northern Bay of Mallorca, between Port d'Alcudia and Cala Ratjada, is the small town of Son Serra de Marina, with rocky coves and wide sandy beach with no big hotels or large changes in the landscape. This is because the area in the 50s was carefully from the urbanized middle class. Farmers from Petra and Santa Margarita built fishermen's houses without allowing large hotel investments or real estate speculation. In this way, the area of Son Serra de Marina has been preserved as it was before the tourist boom.
